# Meet Dr. Hawkins

BOOK YOUR ALIGNMENT CALL

## Hello.

I'm so glad you're here. Let me tell you a little more about how I became a Naturopathic Doctor specializing in women's hormone health.

“You’re just a busy mom. Of course you're exhausted!"

"Your labs are normal. Everything's fine.”

“You’re just getting older.”

I’ve heard it all—because I was told the same things.

I know what it’s like to feel exhausted, dismissed, and desperate for answers.

For years, I thrived—raising my kids, growing my career, and feeling strong. Until, suddenly, I wasn’t. It didn’t happen overnight. The exhaustion crept in, the brain fog got worse, and my body didn’t feel like my own. No amount of sleep helped. No advice made a difference.

When I finally sought help, I got the same dismissive responses so many women hear:

"You’re just tired because you’re a mom."

"Maybe you’re depressed—here’s a prescription."

"Your labs look normal."

But nothing about the way I felt was normal.

That’s when I turned to what I knew best—a root-cause approach to healing.

## A Different Kind Of Doctor

I wasn’t always a naturopathic doctor. I started on a conventional pre-med path at UNC Chapel Hill, but early on, I saw the flaws in the system—reactive medicine that managed symptoms instead of addressing what was actually causing them.

That became painfully clear when my grandmother, struggling with COPD, was given more and more steroids instead of real solutions. Then I started experiencing my own health issues. When conventional medicine failed me, I turned to a naturopathic doctor—and the changes were life-altering.

That experience changed everything.

I moved to California to study herbal medicine and women’s health, then went on to earn my Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University, one of the nation’s leading naturopathic medical schools. I became a licensed primary care naturopathic physician in Seattle and trained as a lactation consultant at Seattle Midwifery School to better support mothers and babies.

Through my work, I saw the same patterns: women struggling with exhaustion, mood swings, stubborn weight, and hormonal chaos—without real answers or support.

Then, I experienced it myself.

## From Postnatal Depletion to Perimenopause—A Perfect Storm

After my third child, everything changed.

At 38, raising three boys and running my practice, I found myself depleted, foggy, and emotionally drained. My sleep was a mess, my moods were unpredictable, and I barely had the energy to keep up with daily life.

I assumed it was just mom life—until my cycles started shifting. That’s when I realized what so many women experience but rarely connect: postnatal depletion colliding with perimenopause.

Once I put the pieces together—nutrient deficiencies, hormonal shifts, metabolic slowdowns, and nervous system burnout—I knew what I needed to do.

Through strategic nutrition, gut and hormone support, and metabolic restoration, I rebuilt my health from the inside out. My energy and mood stabilized, my sleep improved, and I finally felt like myself again.

And I knew I had to help other women do the same.

## That's Why I Do This Work

I founded my practice to change the conversation around women’s health—so no woman has to feel dismissed, gaslighted, or left to figure it all out alone.

Women are constantly told that feeling exhausted, foggy, and out of balance is “just part of aging.”

It’s not.

Women’s health is more than just hormones. It’s about energy, metabolism, gut health, and nervous system resilience. It’s about getting answers and having a clear, personalized plan.

That’s exactly what I do.
